Thursday Night Bingo
Bingo on Sept. 2 at Charles Evering VFW Post 6506, 8777 Philadelphia Road in Rosedale. Price of $20 includes dinner, dessert, soda, chips, pretzels, nine cards and 27 games. First Annual Community Fair

Trivia Night with Karaoke

K of C Bingo
Knights of Columbus Council 11615 will conduct a cash Bingo on Saturday, Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. at the Church of the Annunciation Parish Hall, 5212 McCormick Ave. in Rosedale. Includes 20 regular games ($35 prize), five specials including two jackpot games, two split-the-pot games, good neighbor games and instant bingo.  Refreshments available. Tickets $12 in advance, or $15 at the door. Advance tickets must be purchased by 6 p.m. Sept. 3. Annual St. Helena
Flea Market
Saturday, Sept. 11, starting at 7 a.m. on the parking lot of the Community Building at 6509 Colgate Ave. in St. Helena. Proceeds will purchase gifts for the annual Children’s Christmas Party. Rain date: Sept. 18. For information, contact Joe Stadler at 410-285-5658.

Karaoke & Country Line Dancing
Essex American Legion, Post 148, 20 S. Marlyn Ave., will host Karaoke with Bobby B, on Friday, Sept. 3 from 8 p.m. - midnight. Country Line Dancing with Mike Caskey’s Party Masters will also be held in the hall. Kitchen open with a dinner special from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. on a first come first served basis. Regular kitchen menu also available. On Saturday, Sept. 4, 8 p.m. - midnight, Karaoke with P & J. And on Sunday, Sept. 5, 4 - 8 p.m., Karaoke with J & W. Come join us for a weekend of good dancing, good singing and a fun time.


Ironbirds Final
The Heritage Society of Essex and Middle River is selling tickets to the Aberdeen Ironbirds Final Game of the Season for Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, Sept. 5 at 2:35 p.m. against the Connecticut Tigers at Ripken Stadium. There are a limited number of tickets which are $15 each and inlcude free parking, baseball cap and program. This is you last chance to see the Ironbirds play this year in the McNamara Division in the New-York League. Prcoceeds benefit the Heritage Society of Essex and Middle River. Fall Fest

Applebee’s ® Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast
The all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast with unlimited coffee, juice, soda and tea will be held on Sunday, Sept. 12 from 8 - 10 a.m. at the Applebee’s located at 8610 LaSalle Road in Towson. Tickets $7 per person and $4 for children ages 4 - 10. Six troops from Girl Scouts Service Unit 687 will be traveling to Savannah, GA in June 2011. All proceeds will go toward the girls’ trip expenses.
