Basic Boating Courses
The rec. council will be holding three separate basic boating courses on  July 26 & 29 and Aug. 23 & 26. All classes are held from 6 - 10 p.m. A certification is needed for all persons born on or after July 1, 1972 who will be operating a pleasure vessel on Maryland waters. An adult must accompany anyone under 16 years old. The registration costs is $25 and payments must be made by check/money order to Back River Rec. & Parks tow weeks prior to date of the class. Late payments will require $5 late charge. For more information, call the rec. officer Monday through Friday.
Summer Playground Activties Program
Activities will take place at Sandalwood Elementary School, 900 S. Marlyn Ave. until Aug. 6, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Cost is $20 for ages 5 - 12 years. Registration date are June 3, 7, 9 and 11, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. Immunization records are required at time of registration.
Soccer
 The Fall Soccer Program  will be holding registration for the upcoming fall season.
Tuesday, July  27  from 5 - 7:30 p.m. at Carroll Island McDonalds
and Saturday, July 31 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Bengies Chase Community Building. Last day to register.  A $10 late fee appplies after this date. Participation cost is $35 for children in clinic and $65 for U-8 and up. Please call Robert Purdie for any inquiries at 410 335-4817.

Summer Dance
The Colgate Headliners will offer Summer Dance classes, open to participants ages 3 and up on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June 8 through Aug. 12 inside Berkshire Elementary School, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. Program cost is $45 per participant. Outdoor Soccer Registration
The rec. council will hold Outdoor Soccer Registration on July 27 & 29 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Colgate Elementary Recreation Office.  Program is for boys & girls ages 4-18.  Four year olds must turn 4 on or before 7/31/10. Seventeen year olds cannot turn 18 on or before 7/31/10.  The age determination date is July 31, 2010. The child's age on this date determines the age group for which he/she may register.
Cost of registration is $55 per participant for age groups U6-U12 and $60 per participant for age groups U14-U18.  A late fee of $10 per registrant will be assessed beginning July 30.  A copy of the child’s birth certificate or valid age verification is required at registration. Dundalk/Eastfield Adult Men’s Fall Softball
League will take place on Monday and Wednesday nights at the Dundalk fields. League starts Aug. 9 and runs seven to eight weeks. Price will be $250 per team including balls. A $100 deposit will secure your team spot. Call Joe Tusa if interested.

ESP Sports Clinics

Essex Recreation Summer Child Care

Children ages 5(completed Kindergarten) to 12 years old are invited to register for our 9 week Summer Program. This licensed Child Care Program operates Monday through Friday, in the Recreation Activity Room at Essex Elementary School’s Recreation Center. We accept POC Vouchers. Essex Fall 2010 Soccer Registration
“Where Kids Come First!” Sign ups for another exciting season run through July. Dates for registration are Friday, July 16 & 23 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays, July 17 & 24 from 10 a.m. to noon. Registrations will take place at the Essex Recreation Activity Room at Essex Elementary, 100 Mace Ave. Cost is $75 for first child, two children $120, three or more $150. Soccer Registration
The Council is holding registration for HMR Outdoor Soccer for boys and girls ages 4 - 5 (co-ed clinic) through U18 at Victory Villa Community Center, on Thursdays, July 22 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The registration fee for ages 4 - 5 is $30 and the fee for U8 - U18 is $60. There will be a $10 late fee for registrations after July 22. Age determination is Aug. 1 Everyone registering must be accompanied by an adult and bring a photocopy of their birth certificate.
    Summer Playground
    Middle River Recreation will be sponsoring Summer Playground for children having completed kindergarten through age 10 through Aug. 6. The playground will run Monday through Friday, rain or shine, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Victory Villa Community Center, located at 404 Compass Road. The cost for the entire six weeks is $20 per child. A parent or guardian must accompany the child the first day. This program is not designed to provide childcare. Parents must be available to pick up their child at all times. For more information call the rec. office.

Council Meeting
The P.N.N. Recreation Council will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, June 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Norwood Elementary School in the library.  The public is welcome to attend.
PNN Dance
The P.N.N. Recreation Council will offer Ballet, Tap and Jazz classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at Holabird Middle for ages 3 & up starting Sept. 18.  Times and Days of classes are dependant upon age ability level.
Registration will take place at Norwood Elementary SRC front lobby on Tues. August 24th & Wednesday, Aug. 25 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 11 from 10 a.m - noon.  A non-refundable registration cost of $10 per registrant is due at that time. The cost of classes varies.  A copy of participant’s birth certificate is required at registration.

Total Futbol Premier Soccer Camp
For ages 7 - 18 years. For both boys and girls. Held at Perry Hall High School, from 9 a.m. - noon, Monday - Friday. Each session is $115. Session one will take place on July 26 - July 30. Creative Arts Center

Dance Program
The Dance Program is registering for fall classes now. New classes are forming for three and a half year old beginners in ballet and tap and for 9-12-year-old hip-hop/jazz sessions. Camp Greentree
Camp Greentree is a program for young people ages 6 to 21 years old, with mild to moderate developmental disabilities. This five-week program includes activities such as: arts and crafts, sports, games, trips and more.
Beginning July 6 through Aug. 6.
Registration is on a first come first served basis until camp is full.
Registration donation is $175.

Parties
The rec. center is open for party rentals this summer. Soccer, Football, Active Games, Baby and Wedding Showers, Engagement parties, Reunions and more are the types of parties that can be booked.
Pee Wee Soccer League
Soccer Program will introduce your child, ages 2 1/2 - 3 1/2, to learning teamwork, excercise, meeting friends, and having fun. The program will operate every Wednesday evening for eight weeks, beginning July 7 at the SERRC. Participation cost will be $65. Each child is required to wear shin guards and tennis shoes/soccer shoes. No cleats allowed. All activity will take place indoors on a turf field. Parents should bring water and a size-3 soccer ball. Sessions will include warm-up, soccer skills and mini scrimmages. Participants will receive a jersey the first week and an award at the completion of the 8-week program. Science Camp
Registration is now open for our Summer Science Camp. The camp will operate from July 19 - 23 at the SERRC. Children grades 1 - 3 will meet from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m., with children entering grades 4- 6 meeting from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. Participation cost is $20 and includes all supllies. Both science camps will offer “Fun Science Related” structured hands-on activities with projects involving Earth Science, Life Science, Physics, Fossils, and chemistry. A certified teacher intructs the camp. Space is limited.
Indoor Soccer Adult Summer Rec Leagues
Men’s Unlimited games will be held on Thursdays and some Mondays, Women’s Unlimited games will be held on Wednesdays and some Mondays, Men’s Over 30 games will be held on Sundays and some Mondays, and the Coed League games will be held on Tuesdays and some Mondays. Coed team must have two females on the field at all times. The cost per tean is $500, which includes official’s fees. All teams must provide their own numbered shirts. With the small amount of time for summer session there is no post-season tournament, each team  is guarenteed 8 games and each league will have a Championship game on Tuesday, September 7. Awards will be given to league winners. To participate in unlimited leagues or Coed, you must be 18 years of age the dat you sign the roster. For more info., email jlaw@baltimorecountymd.gov.
