Nawrocki Knocks
on 10,000th Door in 6th District
|
Baltimore County Council
Candidate Ryan Nawrocki Saturday was joined by supporters in ramping up
his door-to-door campaign, as the Nawrocki Team celebrated its 10,000th
door knocked in communities across the 6th District, his campaign said.
“From Wilson Point to Parkville, Nawrocki supporters across the 6th
District have been talking one-on-one with voters of all political
parties about Ryan’s vision for Eastern Baltimore County right here in
our community - as a civic leader, a community activist and as a
father,” said Lauren Ellison, Nawrocki’s Volunteer Coordinator.
“Over the next several weeks, our team of volunteers looks forward to
continuing our door-to-door campaign and sharing Ryan’s message of a
common sense government that works for the people of the District, not
for special interest groups,” she added.
Nawrocki launched his district wide door-to-door effort from Rosedale
last May, while other efforts were simultaneously launched in
communities across the District.
Nawrocki’s campaign has received the endorsement of such bi-partisan
organizations as the Community Action Network, as well as from
prominent Democrats and Republicans. Nawrocki views door-to-door
campaigning as a way to discuss the issues that transcend political
party. “Baltimore County’s present fiscal crisis is not a matter
that affects only Republicans or Democrats; it affects all of the hard
working families in Baltimore County. The overwhelming support
that I have been fortunate to receive goes beyond party
affiliation. At the end of the day, common sense governance needs
to be our focus and not divisive party politics. This year’s
election is more important than politics. It is about public
service first.”
Hard work is nothing new to Nawrocki. He graduated with four
Bachelor’s Degrees from St. Mary’s College, majoring in economics,
sociology, political science and public administration. Nawrocki
was also one of the youngest appointees in the administration of
Maryland Governor Bob Ehrlich, who has heartily endorsed Nawrocki’s
campaign.
“Our County is ready for a change in leadership,” Nawrocki
commented. “Residents don’t care so much about political party;
they care whether or not County government will ever stop balancing its
budget on the backs of hard working families.”
Baltimore County’s 6th Councilmanic District consists of portions of
White Marsh, Perry Hall, Parkville, Carney, Rosedale, Fullerton, Middle
River, Essex, Bowley’s Quarters, Wilson Point, and Chase. Nawrocki is
running on a team that consists of Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.,
Delegates Pat McDonough, Rick Impallaria and J.B. Jennings.

Nawrocki Announces Candidacy for
District 6 Baltimore County Council Seat
|
Ryan Nawrocki officially
kicked off his candidacy on April 6 for Baltimore County’s Sixth
Councilmanic District Seat which is located in Eastern Baltimore
County. Nawrocki has been endorsed for the seat by Governor Bob Ehrlich.
"Ryan was an invaluable member of my administration when he served in
the Maryland Department of Transportation,” said Governor Bob Ehrlich.
“He shares my belief that lowering taxes and balancing budgets will
create an environment for positive job growth. Ryan is a new face and
will bring much-needed fresh ideas to the Council - that is why I am
endorsing him in this race."
With over 200 people in attendance at the recent campaign kick-off,
Nawrocki described his plans to help reform Baltimore County government.
He plans to restore fiscal responsibility to Baltimore County’s budget
deficit, promote building a new high school to reduce overcrowding,
oppose property tax increases, eliminate county council pensions,
reduce council member’s annual salary by 10 percent and institute a
three term limit for council members.
Nawrocki is a lifelong resident of Baltimore County, and currently
resides in Rosedale with his daughter, Emily. Presently, Nawrocki
works for LifeBridge Health, one of Baltimore’s largest health care
providers, as a spokesperson for facilities such as Sinai and Northwest
Hospitals. In this position, Nawrocki sees first hand the hardships
that the average Baltimore family is experiencing, such as being forced
to choose between
putting food on the table and accessing health care in this troubling
economy.
Nawrocki was a member of former Governor Bob Ehrlich’s administration,
serving as a spokesperson for BWI Marshall Airport. Previously,
Nawrocki worked for Delegates Joe Boteler and John Cluster in
Annapolis. Nawrocki is a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of
Columbus at the Pope John Paul the Great Council at Our Lady Queen of
Peace Church in Middle River. He is also a member of the Perry Hall
Improvement Association, the Maryland Farm Bureau and Ravens Roost # 52.
