St. Patrick Day Celebration on Ice

The event will be held at Patterson Park Dominic "Mimi" DiPietro Family Ice Skating Center, 200 S. Linwood Ave. on Friday evening, March 15, from 7 - 9 p.m. with shamrock punch, cookies, pot-of-gold, guessing contest and our famous green ice, all this for only $4 admission and $2 skate rental if needed. Essex American Legion, Post 148, located at 20 S. Marlyn Ave., will host Karaoke with Wacker Doo Karaoke, on Friday, March 15, from 8 p.m. - midnight. Country Line Dancing with Mike Caskey's Party Masters will also be in the hall for a fee. On Saturday, March 16, from 8 p.m. - midnight, Karaoke with For The Good Times Karaoke. On Sunday, March 17, from 4 - 8 p.m., Karaoke with R&B Showcase Karaoke. Come join us for a weekend of good singing and a fun time. Quarter Auction

The quarter auction to benefit local soccer teams will be held on Friday, March 15 at the FOP Lodge 34, 730 Wampler Road. Doors open at 6 p.m., auction starts at 7 p.m. Some vendors will include: Gift Card Bonanza, Snack Attack, Lia Sophia, Scentsy, Purses, Pampered Chef, Tupperware and more! Reserving seats in advance is recommended! Food and snacks will be for sale. Advance tickets are $5 and will include three paddles. P&J's Karaoke

Kick off your holiday weekend at Essex Holly Neck Memorial VFW Post 2621, 206 Riverside Road on Friday, March 15. Our kitchen will be open until 9:30 p.m. Come for dinner and stay for a good time with karaoke starting at 8 p.m. With the start of your St. Patrick's day on Sunday, starting at noon our kitchen will be serving corn beef and cabbage. At 4 p.m. we will crank up the karaoke.

The flea market will be held on March 16 at Christian Community Church (UCC), 155 Orville Road, from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Zion UCC Bingo

BMS Annual Bingo Battle Monument School Booster Club is holding its annual Bingo, featuring all Longaberger Baskets on Saturday, March 23 at Ironworkers Local 16, 2008 Merritt Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m., games begin at 7 p.m. Cost $18 in advance, $20 (cash only) at the door. Includes 20 games. Specials include basket raffles, 50/50 & food will be available for purchase. Tables for seven or eight may be reserved. Family Magic & Balloon Show The Parkville Kiwanis will sponsor their second annual Family Magic & Balloon Show on Saturday, March 23 at 6 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (hall) at 7910 Belair Road. The show features the "Extreme Balloon Man" who will keep children and adults entertained with his magic, balloon creations, and puppets. There will also be toy raffles, hot dogs, drinks, and snacks.
