Northeast Democratic Club Meeting
The
Northeast Democratic Club will meet on Wednesday, May 14 at 7
p.m. The meeting will be held at the second floor meeting room of
the Perry Hall Rosedale Federal Bank Building. Speakers will
include State Senator Kathy Klausmeier, State Delegate Eric Bromwell
and State Delegate Todd Schuler. They will discuss the issues that the
General Assembly faced this past session. All are invited to
attend.

“Spring into Girl Scouts” Program
Girl
Scouts of Central Maryland invites all Pre-K - second grade girls to
discover the fun and friendship of Girl Scouting by attending our
two-session “Spring into Girl Scouts” Program! It will be held on
Wednesdays, May 14 and 21 at St. Michael Lutheran Church Fellowship
Hall, 9534 Belair Road from 6:30 - 8 p.m. The cost is $5 and that
includes Girl Scout membership and all supplies. Reserve Your Girl's
Spot! Space is limited to the first 24 girls. This is a temporary
program. Parents are required to attend the first meeting to register

74th Annual Dundalk Heritage Parade
Applications
for the 74th
Annual
Dundalk Heritage Parade, which will be held on Friday, July 4 beginning
at 8:15 a.m., are available at the North Point Library on Merritt
Boulevard and the Dundalk Shopping Center. Applications must be
submitted no later than June 15, 2008.
The Theme for the 2008
Parade is “Birth of
America.” All
entries should be decorated to reflect this theme.

Dundalk
Art Show
Entries are being accepted
for the 42nd
Dundalk Art Show,
set for Sunday, May 18 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Veterans Park in
Historic Dundalk Village. The long-standing springtime tradition is
co-sponsored by the Dundalk Patapsco Neck Historical Society and the
Dundalk-Eastfield Rec. Council. Financial assistance is provided by the
Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences.
Artist, sculptors, photographers and craftsman will compete in
professional and nonprofessional categories in age groups from
elementary school to senior citizens
Live entertainment will grace the park grounds throughout the day.

Watersedge Women's Exercise Program
A
women's
exercise program
is ongoing at Watersedge Baptist Church at 3483 Liberty Parkway in
Dundalk. There are day and evening classes. There are step classes,
aerobic dance, stretch and tone, body toning, yoga and cardio classes.
There is also an exercise room with equipment. No joining fees or
contracts.

The Essex Middle River Civic
Council will meet on Wednesday, May 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Marshy Point
Nature Center. Their guest speaker will be Mr. Rick Cobert from the
Baltimore County Department of Economic Development. He will speak on
Baltimore County's input as to what is happening now and in the future
for the Route 43 corridor. Marshy Point Nature Center is located on

Green Mount Cemetery Tours
Four guided tours of historic
Green Mount
Cemetery will be
held on Saturday, May 17, 31 and June 7. Green Mount is the final
resting place of Johns Hopkins, Enoch Pratt, William and Henry
Walters, Mary Elizabeth Garrett, Theodore McKeldin, John Wilkes Booth,
Betsy Patterson, Walter Lord and many other famous Marylanders.
Tours begin at 9:30 a.m. from the main gate located at Greenmount
Avenue and East Oliver Street. The two-hour walking tours are led by
Baltimore historian and educator Wayne R. Schaumburg. The cost is
$15. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 410-256-2180
